The birth of gravitational wave astronomy will be remembered as one of the landmark events in 21st century science. A key factor behind this success is the set of data analysis techniques used to find rare and weak gravitational signals buried in noise. The development of gravitational wave data analysis methods is an ongoing endeavor with many challenges yet to be addressed. We will cover the foundational knowledge needed to understand the gravitational wave data analysis techniques currently in use as well as the open research problems in this area.

个人简介：

Mohanty教授在1998-2015年期间作为LIGO成员在数据分析部门工作，参与并贡献了LIGO发现第一个引力波事件GW150914所使用的数据分析流水线CoherentWaveBurst的算法设计和软件实现。2015年后与合作者相继发展了利用粒子群算法搜索LIGO、PTA、LISA波段的引力波源和无模板burst信号重构的系列工作，发表相关论文十余篇，是引力波数据分析领域经验丰富的专家。
