报告摘要:

After the recent experimental realizations of fractional Chern insulators (FCIs) in moiré materials at zero magnetic field, it has been theoretically predicted that non-Abelian states with Majorana fermion excitations may be realized in the nearly dispersionless minibands of these systems. Here, we provide clear evidence based on many-body exact diagonalization for the even more exotic possibility of moiré-based non-Abelian FCIs exhibiting Fibonacci parafermion excitations, which are superior candidates for topological quantum computing. In addition, we predict the emergence of a zero-field Hall crystal with Hall resistance h/e² arising from a partially filled (ν=2/3) moiré band with Chern number C=2 in twisted double bilayer graphene. Our results hint towards the robustness of moiré-based parafermions and of Hall crystals arising from bands with higher Chern number.

个人简介:

刘辉,本科与硕士毕业于兰州大学物理学院,师从安钧鸿教授;博士毕业于德国莱布尼兹固体材料研究所(IFW Dresden),导师为Cosma Fulga和Jeroen van den Brink教授。现于斯德哥尔摩大学从事博士后研究,合作导师为Emil J. Bergholtz教授。主要研究方向为摩尔体系中的强关联拓扑效应及其竞争物态,目前已在国际主流学术期刊发表论文十余篇。
