报告摘要:

The strong coupling constant, αs(Q2), is the fundamental coupling underlying QCD and its predictions for hadron and nuclear physics. It is thus crucial to determine αs(Q2) to the best possible precision. The dependence of αs(Q2) on the renormalization scale Q2 obtained from many different physical processes show consistency with QCD predictions and asymptotic freedom. We present a novel method for precisely determining the running QCD coupling constant αs(Q2) over a wide range of Q2 from event shapes for electron-positron annihilation measured at a single annihilation energy√s . The determination of the renormalization scale for event shapes is obtained by using the principle of maximum conformality. We obtain αs(MZ)=0.1185±0.0012 from the thrust, and αs(MZ)=0.1193±0.0020 from the C-parameter. These determinations of αs(MZ) are consistent with the world average and are more precise than the values obtained from analyses of event shapes currently used in the world average.

个人简介:

王声权,主要从事粒子物理中Higgs粒子、顶夸克和QCD耦合常数的研究。美国斯坦福大学访问学者,贵州民族大学物理与机电工程学院副院长,贵州省物理学会副理事长。主持国家自然科学基金项目4项。在JHEP,Phys.Rev.D,Eur.Phys.J.C等主流物理期刊上发表论文40余篇。物理综述ROPP期刊1篇,PPNP期刊2篇。关于QCD耦合常数的研究工作得到国际粒子物理数据组(PDG)和欧洲实验组LHeC和FCC的引用。曾获贵州省青年科技奖、贵州省优秀青年科技人才,贵州省青年五四奖章,贵州省优秀科技个人奖、贵州省“创新争先·科技榜样”,新时代的贵州人、贵州省自然科学奖三等奖(独立获奖)。
