报告摘要:
Three-dimensional topological semimetals have attracted considerable interest in various fields ranging from condensed matter materials to ultracold atomic gases. As a highly controllable and disorder free system, ultracold atomic gases provide a versatile platform to discover and simulate exotic topological gapless matters. In this talk, I will discuss our first discovery of structured [1] (type-II [2]) Weyl fermions in quasiparticle spectra of spin-orbit coupled Fermi superfluids. I will also present our study of Weyl exceptional rings that exhibit both a nonzero quantized Berry phase and Chern number in a non-Hermitian ultracold atomic gas [4]. I will further talk about our theoretical proposal of non-Hermitian absorption spectroscopy used to measure complex energies in cold atom systems [6].

个人简介:
徐勇,清华大学交叉信息研究院助理教授。2005年本科毕业于兰州大学物理科学与技术学院基地班,2013年在中科院物理研究所获得博士学位,先后在美国德克萨斯大学达拉斯分校和美国密歇根大学安娜堡分校从事博士后研究。2017年9月至今任清华大学交叉信息研究院助理教授。主要从事冷原子新奇量子物态的理论研究,提出了有结构的(第二类)外尔费米子、外尔奇异环等概念,多项理论预言被实验证实。已发表学术论文46篇,其中在PRL、Sci. Adv.、Nat. Comm. 上发表论文15篇。
