报告摘要:

In two dimensions, topologically ordered phases defined on a nontrivial manifold have degenerate ground states protected by a gap. It is thus an important topic to find realistic Hamiltonians which support such exotic phases. The DMRG method is one of the most powerful numerical methods for studying strongly correlated quantum many-body systems. However, for topologically ordered systems, it has been a nontrivial task to obtain the complete set of degenerate ground states in DMRG. In this talk I will discuss our recent progress on using the anyon eigenbasis (also known as “minimally entangled states”) as the initialization ansatz in DMRG to obtain the complete set of degenerate ground states and characterize their topological order.

个人简介:

2003年本科毕业于武汉大学物理学基地班,2009年于清华大学物理系获得博士学位,之后在德国马普量子光学所和慕尼黑大学从事博士后研究,2017年起担任德累斯顿工业大学Junior Professor。研究领域为量子多体理论,研究兴趣主要集中在探索新奇的量子态,以及发展应用于量子多体物理的解析和数值方法,包含张量网络、共形场论和严格可解模型等。
