报告摘要:

We will introduce our recent studies combining experiments and simulations in colloidal model systems: the microscopic kinetics of symmetry breaking and order construction during the liquid-to-solid transition. We will discuss some interesting phenomena in bulk and small systems, such as the pathways of crystal nucleation, crystal growth and solid-to-solid transition. At last, I will discuss some factors that adjust the collective excitations of the system, such as defective structures and non-equipartition of energy.

个人简介:

Peng Tan is a professor at Department of Physics, Fudan University. He did his PHD study at Fudan University (graduated at 2010). He did his postdoc research at the Chinese University of HongKong (2010-2014). He joined Fudan University at 2014. His research interests include statistical physics, soft condensed matter and complex fluids.
